Read and understand the rules before joining the ladder.
1Getting Started
- • Create an account using email or Google — takes about 30 seconds
- • Pick your USTA rating (or self-rate) so we can slot you into the right spot on the ladder
- • Drop in your phone number and preferred courts to make scheduling easier
- • Read and accept the liability waiver — it's short, we promise
2The Challenge System
- • Want to climb? Challenge anyone within 5 spots of your current rank — above or below
- • Hit the challenge button from the ladder or from a player's profile page
- • Your opponent gets 7 days to respond — after that, the challenge expires
- • One challenge per opponent at a time (no spamming!)
- • Once they accept, work out the when and where between yourselves
3Match Format
- • Default format: 2 out of 3 sets
- • Both players can mutually agree to a different format (e.g., super tiebreaker for the 3rd set, pro set, or shortened sets)
- • No agreement? Stick with the default
4Reporting Results
- • Done playing? Either player can log the score right from the site
- • Rankings move instantly once a result is submitted
- • Your opponent has 7 days to flag an issue or request a correction
- • If there's a dispute, rankings stay put until it's sorted out
- • We track all outcomes: Completed, Walkover (W/O), Retired (RET), and Default (DEF)
5Ranking System
- • Your USTA rating decides where you start on the ladder
- • Beat someone ranked above you? You take their spot. Simple as that
- • The player who lost slides down at most 2 spots — everyone in between shifts to fill the gap
- • Higher-ranked player wins? Nothing changes — you already proved you belong there
- • Defense Streaks — keep winning from the top and earn titles:
- - 🛡️ Defender: 3 wins in a row from above
- - 🧱 Iron Wall: 5 straight
- - 🏰 Fortress: 10 straight
- - 👑 Unbreakable: 20 straight — legend status
- • Shield Perk: Stack 3 defenses and you earn a shield — if you lose next, you only drop 1 spot instead of 2
- • Stay active! Play at least 3 matches per month or you'll slide down 2 positions automatically
6USTA Rating Policy
- • We use your USTA rating to place you on the ladder when you first join
- • Once you play your first match, your rating locks in — no take-backs
- • If someone's crushing players way above their stated level, we'll notice and flag it
- • Sandbagging = rating adjustment by an admin. Play honest and you've got nothing to worry about
7Etiquette & Conduct
- • Show up on time — don't keep your opponent waiting
- • Reply to challenges and messages within a reasonable time
- • Call lines fairly — if you're not sure, the ball was in
- • Each player should bring balls to play with
- • Keep it competitive but friendly — we're all here to have fun
- • Unsportsmanlike behavior may result in removal from the ladder
⚠️ Liability Waiver
Before you can play, you'll need to accept our participant agreement. It basically says: tennis is physical, you play at your own risk, and you'll be a good sport. You'll see the full text during sign-up.
